The Proposal
Morgan and Sarah were eating at their favorite restaurant, Cafe de Bangkok which boasts a variety of healthy Thai Cuisine and an intimate, cozy atmosphere.
Sarah had just started her new job, and was telling Morgan that she was nervous, "We have weekly team meetings where we talk about our weekends. I'm worried I won't have anything to say ..."
"I think I can give you something to tell them." Morgan said as he smiled and dropped to one knee pulling out a small white box.
A hush fell over the restaurant as all eyes turned to the young couple. All was quite except a hapless old man who quipped, "Huh!? Wh ... what's going on?"
With shaking hands he opened the box to reveal a brilliant blue ring and continued "This past year has been the happiest of my life. I love you so much. I can't imagine my life with out you. Sarah Fann will you marry me?"
The old man repeated, "What's happening?" as a member of his party quickly chided "Shh!"
"Of course I'll marry you!" Sarah cried as she leapt into Morgan's arms, knocking over the dining chair in her eagerness.
The restaurant patrons erupted in cheers and clapping. Unwilling to wait any longer, the old man screamed angrily, "I still don't know what's going on!"
As the patrons simmered into small conversations about how rare and nice it was to see an actual engagement, Morgan and Sarah couldn't help but feel like they were the only ones in the dining room ....
